AKAPPARAMBU SREE KRISHNA SWAMY TEMPLE is an ancient temple believed to have been built about 2000 years ago. It was then administered by the Local Kingdom After the decline of the kingdom era, the administration came to the hands of a few Brahmin (Nampoothiri) families. The temple achieved prominence during the prosperity of the Kingdom and of these Brahmin families. However, on introduction of the Land Reform Act during 1970's the Brahmin families lost a large portion of their properties.
